About Curry's Canines

I'm a dog owner first. The training came because I wanted the same thing you do: a dog that I could live life with and not plan life around. Here's how I got here, who's with me, and what we do.

Where it all started... or maybe where it didn't. I had a dog I couldn't control. Every time we stepped outside, I felt anxious. He barked at every dog, every person, even the occasional suspicious trash can. What made it harder was the shame. The disapproving looks. The quiet judgment when it seemed like I had no control over my own dog. I started dreading walks, not because of him, but because of how it felt. I didn't want to plan my outings around empty streets or wait for the perfect time to avoid people and pets. I just wanted to enjoy being outside with my dog. Some nights, I would wait until midnight just to take him to an empty park so he could run freely without the fear of running into someone. That was when I realized something had to change. My dog deserved better and so did I

I spent countless hours taking courses, watching videos, reading forums, and learning everything I could about dogs and training. I made a commitment to myself. Fifteen minutes of training every day. No excuses. During those fifteen minutes, I slowly introduced what I was learning into my dog’s life. Obedience. Clear structure. Boundaries. Most importantly, communication. I focused on teaching my dog not only what I wanted, but what not to do and what to do instead. As his confidence grew, so did mine. I no longer felt that pit in my stomach when another dog approached. If anything, I felt excited. Those moments stopped being about fear. They became opportunities. A teaching moment if he needed guidance, or a chance to reward him when he showed the behaviors we worked on every single day.

Before I knew it, my dog became a model citizen. People would stop me in public to compliment him and say they wished their dog could behave the same way. As the conversations continued, I realized something important. So many people were struggling with the exact same challenges I once faced. I did not want them to simply wish for a well-behaved dog. I wanted to help them make it a reality. And that is how Curry’s Canines was born. If you have ever had that same wish, I am here to tell you it is possible. Curry’s Canines exists to help you turn that wish into a well-trained, confident companion.

The dogs behind Curry's Canines

The ones who keep me honest and remind me why this work matters.

Hades

Hades

German Shepherd

My bestfriend and my partner in crime. He's the eldest and the most stubborn. I wouldn't be the trainer I am today without him.

Odin

Odin

Cane Corso

The little big brother. He's the sweetest of the bunch and he happens to win most of our wresting matches. I think I'll beat him one day...

Ares

Ares

King Shepherd

The newest addition to the family. My girlfriend and the rest of the dogs would say I spoil him the most but look at that face! how can you say no to that?
